I think everyone has thier own idea of what beautiful is....but I do think media has alot of influence on what people "should" look like...it's really unrealistic and unfair for people to be judged against airbrushed chicks or guys in magazines or on TV....day to day people just don't look like that...and as soon as people realize that....more people would be happy with themselves and more people would not be alone because thier self esteem issues make them hard to approach for a relationship....EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

I do.

That saying, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", is powerful because WE are the beholders. This means that we are powerful enough -- and have the authority -- to find beauty in ourselves and in others. Not the media, not other people, not "times" or trends, determine what is really and truly beautiful.

If you look at something and find beauty in it, then it is beautiful to you. And no one can dispute that.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. True beauty goes much deeper than the skin.

media.

Or men: its a way of controlling females. When men set the beatuy - standards they set them so hard to live by, that women have a full working day living up to it. Skinny, long hair, smooth legs, brasilian wax... you name it.
