I have an associates degree and im going to enlist in the air force...does that add any rank, pay, etc?

your degree should qualify you for a promotion to a higher rank going to basic training. That turns into more money each month than you fellow airmen.

Yes.You can beecome an officer instead of enlisted.You will graduate from OCS (Officer Candidate School) as a 2nd lieutenant.If you go in as enlisted you will graduate from boot camp as an E3 or E4. As an officer you'll get good pay but an E9 (Sergeant-major) makes more money as a captain and you'll also have to earn the respect of the people under you and over you.

It adds a little rank in the army (E-1 to E-2) and it will count for promotion points but this is all army stuff but I think the USAF is similar.

Depends on what your degree is in - if it is in Nursing it will get you in as an officer in most branches. I do not know about the Air Force.

I think you can come in as an E-3. It might also help you qualify for better jobs depending on what your ASVAB score is.

you will get a slightly higher rank.. possibly E2 or E3.
