True story: I was at summer camp when I was a teenager and had two friends that had been raped some time ago, sarah and Kathy (fake names). Sarah went and told her parents that were working at the camp that summer about what had happened to her years ago with this man. She felt sooo much better the way her parents responded. Her secret was out and she was not judged. So Sarah came to Kathy while I was there and told Kathy that to feel better and let it go, she should come and tell and talk to HER parents as that is what helped her. Kathy didn't go and Sarah felt that she was messin up her life and her one chance and working it out.

some people are so convinced they're right that they forget there's a possibility that they can be wrong.
there is, and they have to acknowledge and deal with it.

Yes, on at least two counts.

You have people in control taking advantage (raping) of those over which they have control.

And, you have the busy body trying to tell someone else what to do.

Sounds a lot like most religions.

I would say it reminds me all religion - do it my way cause it worked for me and it will you too - but that's not what Christianity is about - that's what religions are about - that's the awesome joy of being a Christian - it's a personal relationship with Jesus Christ - it's just between you (anyone) and him - it doesn't require outside pressure or persuasion.

Yes, I can see your point. Just because it worked for one person does not mean that it is the only thing that will work for another.

Hello paxtondusty.. :)

Not Christianity..for we go to Jesus for all of our needs..for Jesus said: Come unto Me all that are heavy laden and I shall give you rest..take my yoke upon you for it is light..Glory, Glory, Alleluia

Jesus is the Answer for the World today..Praise the Lord..Thank-You Jesus for Your Loving kindness and Your Saving Grace..

You took the worlds sins upon Yourself and You were without sin..Lord, You are my EVERYTHING..

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ..
