i want to move to canada and i would still drive back to the states once a month and 2 weeks a year for the next 2 years

It depends on why you are coming to Canada--if you are intending to move here as a permanent resident, there are limits to how often you can leave the country for your first year here.

Are you crazy???? Well, as far as I know you need to have an American address to give to the government as a reservist. I say just wait out the 2 years it's not worth possible charges of cowardice or UA or anything like that.

Yes in my old guard unit we enlisted a Canadian who came down from Canada just for drill. He Joined when he lived here for college and then when he graduated he moved back to Canada and came down for the drills because he enjoyed being in the Army Guard.
