Our life witnes is the fruit. The seeds we plant by our lives (more what we do than what we say) will spring up to become another branch and the process continues. Our lives should be a reflection of Jesus to the world.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Fruit bearing from Christ are your actions and deeds. Are you kind and courteous? Do you tell the truth even when it could cost you dearly? Do you remember to thank people - such as when you've received a gift? Do people seek you out for your Biblical knowledge (which if you don't get out of that NIV - you're going to be learning some really wrong knowledge). He is speaking of our ability to be bold about Him and how we share his Word - have you ever noticed that a surprise lilly produces a whole of greenage before it ever produces the lilly? Well, sometimes our fruit bearing is that we planted the seed and we may not ever see the fruit come forth. But somewhere down the road it does. Our fruit is what we allow Christ to do through us, not our own works because they are useless, but what Christ does is our fruit. Sorry it took me the long way around the farm yard to get to the barn, but sometimes my mind can't formulate the direct path!

How about people who go to college, then seminary, and get the equivalent of a PhD. and work for less than minimum wage. All just to help save a bunch of people who would urinate on them if they had a chance. People who stay there even in the rough times, with never so much as a thank you. That's real fruit. You can't do that if you are not drawing strength from the Vine (Lord).

Following in Christ's footsteps, doing the things he did.

John 13. 15-17
I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.

I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

Fruit bearing fruit is when you spread the "Good News" (aka. Gospel, the Death, burial, and Resurrection of Christ) Then some one hears you and decides to follow Christ because you told them about the Good News.
Then they in return do the same thing.

Dear Bill,

The fruits of the Spirt are love, joy, peace, character development, long-suffering, patience etc.

Other Fruits include strengthening the Faith of Christians, pointing seekers to Christ, and responding to skeptics claims.

Cordially,
