acting. I know that i need an agent, but how do I get one? I am still a kid and we cannot move and we live way away from CA and NY in a small town. I am already getting started in a theater group and many years away from college. I want to act (when I say act, I mean REAL acting, not just plays. I want t.v.) while I am still a kid. Not 16 or older. PLease!! If anyone knows of a website (not starsearchcasting either. i already tried it) or something like that can you PLEASE tell me?!?!?!? No one has any idea how bad I want to be an actress.

This is in the religion catagory because I need some nice answers (and it seems like a popular catagory) and maybe an answer on how I will know if God is telling me TO act or NOT to act.

Just because you chose this category does not mean you will get helpful answers. Just read some of the other questions and answers. Having said that:
You need to get your picture and resume in front of the right people. Community theatre is an excellent way to go, but you'll need a portfolio showing your versatility. And you'll need to go where the auditions are, usually California or New York. You will need your parents' complete and unwavering support. You also need to get an agent. That is about the ONLY way you'll ever get your name and picture to the people who matter. It is a cutthroat business and producers, directors and casting agents eat young hopefuls for breakfast every day.
As for whether God wants this for you or not, if you are truly a Christian, you should pray that His Will is done in your life. If it is His Will, He will make a way.

Well really here in the religion and spirituality area you most likely won't find too many good leads, but hey you never know. If I was going to break into acting, I think I would make some really clever commercials with a vidcam featuring my strengths. Send them to the people you are doing the commercial of and explain if they like it they can use it for free as long as they run it nationally and do not remake it. Keep a copy for your self to prove it belongs to you. Good luck.

Thank God for bringing you the perfect opportunity you need to be an actor, no matter what your circumstances are. Believe that God will answer your prayer, before you have even asked, and it will be done. Don't do anything to facilitate this. Once you have put it in God's hands, don't even think about it or how it will come to be. Just leave it to the Lord to take care of. Thank God everyday for everything. Have an attitude of gratitude to God and you can't lose. :)

If you are a good actor just keep acting. An agent will come to you. They are all looking for talent they can sell. That is their business.
