yes, drinking water and being properly hydrated helps you lose weight. An adult needs 4 liters of water a day. Even though caffenated drinks have a small amount of water in them, it takes more water to help digest the caffeine then whats already in the drinks. Also, most caffinated drinks have a lot of sugar in them, which gets stored as fat. Bottom line is no water no weight loss. So it will help you gain weight.

Caffiene can definetly assist in weight gain. It also makes your boobs hurt and often makes you have less energy because once the sugar high runs out, you crash. Not to mention heart palpitations, kidney infections and UTIs. Dark sodas can also increase the chance of breast cancer. In my opinion, caffiene isn't very healthy, but back to your original question- yes, it can.

Caffeine can be an appetite suppressant. It also increases your heart rate. Chances are higher you will lose more weight.

Well my entire diet consist of booze and caffeine and I have WAYYYYYYYYY too much girth on me.
You might try it...I'm just not sure it is the kind of "weight gain" you really want.

Depends, if caffeine is consumed by itself or with protein or complex carbohydrates, it will increase your metabolism and lower your fat absorption rate. If it's taken with sugar or white bread or other simple carbohydrates, it will increase your fat absorption rate.
