I have a friend who I added to my yahoo messenger. It shows up on my messenger buddy list with there first and last name. Does anyone know how my friend can change that name?
I am assuming that the name that shows up on my yahoo buddy list is the yahoo ID which cannot be changed. Am I right or is there a way to change the name that shows up on other people's list when they add you to their list?

if u goto http://profiles.yahoo.com and login and add a profile.
u can have different names from your master name.
and u can choose which 1 they see

yeah its a setting in the preferences. I forget what tab but its says show name or show yahoo id.

to change name from your yahoo messenger profile just change nickname.
Change Photo and Avatar:
to change or create new avatar just login to yahoo answers and press on "My Q&A" from the window appear click on "Edit My Info" then from window appear click on "Get my Yahoo! avatar now!" from middle right in window, and follow steps.
but to get picture to your account follow steps to "Edit My Info" and press on "get my yahoo 360 page" after you get it, on your 360 page click on edit my page and upload new photo.
