How old is your granddaughter and was she born with this problem? Has your granddaughter ever seen a Orthropedist? They are bone specialist and they would be able to help her out better. Medical technology has advanced since I was a baby. I was born in 1964 and the doctors then told my parents I had "swivel hips" which made one leg longer than the other. As I got to be around 3 yrs. old I had knock knees, where my knees would come close together, in a inwards style. Not to mention I was born with flat feet and bunions.

My family didn't catch these problems in time, so now in my adult life I have to pay for their ignorance. Make your granddaughter a appointment to see a bone specialist. They will perform x-rays on her and run some other tests and they will determine what she needs.

Good luck to your granddaughter and you for caring about her so much!

I hope I was of some help to you!

the dr may want to put leg braces on her . I have one leg 2inches diff then the other.I wear shoes that are made for me. but if you don't have the money for that you can put insoles in the shorter shoe to help even out her walk. Later on in life this will give her hip some troulbe. so it is better to start now to get it worked out hope this help's
