Although Advantage and Frontline are not labeled for kittens this young, they are used safely when fleas are a problem. The threat of anemia from fleas is far greater than the possibility that there would be a negative reaction to these two flea treatments. I've seen kittens die of flea-induced anemia. So I have treated kittens under 10 days old with both. On a 3-4 week old kitten, I would apply 4 drops of one or the other, between the shoulder blades. You could certainly contact a vet to get his or her opinion on this. I am lucky enough to have a vet who's very frank with me, and she has advised me to use one of these two on kittens with fleas.

Since she still has fleas after all the baths, they are probably hiding in your carpeting or other soft surfaces and jumping onto her after the bath. Frontline and Advantage will kill fleas almost instantly when they jump on her. However, to keep fleas off of you, you will need to treat your home. For this, I recommend rubbing Borax cleaner into all carpets and furniture. Let it sit for two hours. This works by dehydrating fleas and their eggs, larvae, and pupae to kill them. Make sure the kitten doesn't have contact with the areas being treated during this time. While it's non-toxic, Borax could dehydrate her if she swallows it. When the two hours is up, vacuum all the Borax up. I would toss the vacuum cleaner bag, or bleach the canister if you have a bagless, just to be safe. Also, be sure to wash her bedding and yours in very hot water.

If fleas persist, you may need to use a flea fogger. These are available at pet stores or lawn and garden centers. They require that all living things leave the home for a few hours. But they will kill fleas no matter where they hide.

You can buy a pill called Capstar from the vet. It only kills the fleas on the pet at the time but the vet could tell you how many pills you can give it weekly until it's old enough to use revolution.I don't recommend any over the counter flea products because I have lost a cat that went into convulsions and died from using Zodiac flea killer.
With Revolution it kills, fleas. ear mites, worms and ticks and is alot safer then otc products.

Well 4 weeks is old enough to use stronghold or frontline maybe? Ask your vet about it. They are just some kind of liquid in tubes. You put it on your kitty's neck and all kind of fleas just die. But maybe she is too young for this too. If I were you I would ask a vet right away. There are collars again fleas too but I do not know if it is an option for such a young kitty. Good luck with that and try to get rid of them quickly cause they are a bigger danger then you can imagine.

You can get this stuff called "Bean Dust" It's really for garden plants to keep bugs off but works well on animals & harmless to them. Go to a feed store like farmers supply & ask for it there. It works better than what you get at Ace Hardware or Wally World. Just sprinkle it on & watch the fleas fall off. Just be careful around the kittens eyes.Good luck.

Use a lice comb. Get a container of hot water, set it on the floor beside you, and comb with the lice comb. After you comb once, hold the comb over the water and brush the fleas into the water. I spent last summer doing that to a kitten, but I had to do it every day. Btw, you shouldn't wash a cat with dishsoap.

Go to your local health foods store and get brewer's yeast to sprinkle in her food. It's high in B vitamins and fleas hate the taste of blood in animals fed this.

fire? only joking lol

I have used several flea treatments on my cat, the best one was a few drops which you put on their necks. You have to make sure you get it on the skin not on the fur tho'

If you live in england goto a wilkinsons hardwear store and use their home brand, it worked for my cat!
