Volley ball is sorta hard to do, if you have no experience. At try-outs you have to show that you can serve atleast to the net. Overhand is better than underhand, but many people can't serve overhand. So learn underhand first. Then you have to show that you know how to control the ball. Control is like the key to volleyball. You can bump the ball and you have to set, but these are really easy if you have control. Practice on spiking and outside hitting. I didn't learn to do that until 8th grade and it was sorta hard. Iv'e been playing volleyball for 3 years and my record is 35-1. I only lost once! :(

Volleyball is one of the hardest sports out there. It's not one that you can just play with friends when you don't know how. Or you can't have any fun, lol. Like basketball and baseball and soccer and stuff is still fun. You don't have to learn a WHOLE bunch to be okay at it. Volleyball takes a lot more mental work. And just as much physical.

volleyball is hard and it's easy.
My try out was a few passing drills, diving drills, and hitting drills.
So basically, the coach was off to the side, watching how well we passed as well as how quick we were on our feet.
Fairly easy tryout for me though, I must say. We had a very large team though (about 15+ players :( )

hehe. =] . volleyball looks easy, but it is in no way easy. i'd say practice in the street or w/e like crazayyyy. it depends on what age level your trying out for, if your tryin our fffor a 12's team, well that is pretty easy to make [i was on it so i know] if your trying out for 13 or 14, i would get my friend to help me practice aND go to any free cliniics i heard of. higher level than that, you need lots of expierience i think. good luck with that.

Voleyball iz really easy actually! In 7th grade this past year was the first time i ever played volleyball and i was nervous cuz i didn't think i would do to well. But all u really need to know wat top do is bump it , pass it , and hit it. In tryouts they pretty much show u the bascics and the last day of tryouts u show the coach wat u can do and u either get cut or get put on the team!

Depends how many people are trying out and how good everyone else is. And don't limit yourself to just one position like if you want to be a setter and someone is better then you at setting try outside hitting or DS of libero. Also BE AGGRESIVE and LOUD coaches love that!!!!!!

you just have to show what you know, like your spikes, serves, and keep eye contact with the ball if you don't that will hurt you big time on making the team.
