I know!! Cause some of the monkeys were cleverer and started doing other things and they evolved - the thicker monkeys just stayed being monkeys. then the clever monkeys were only attracted to the clever monkeys so even cleverer monkeys were born (same with the thick ones) - not that monkeys are thick - they are cool and i love them! But you know what I mean!

Also it's so Jason doesn't feel so ugly!

Because people did not evolve from monkeys. This is a common misunderstanding of evolution. Monkeys and people evolved from a common ancestor that was neither a monkey nor a person.

To evolve to the present variety of species in the world it took more than FOUR MILLION YEARS. It didn't happen in one day and it cannot.
No one said that today there was a monkey and tomorrow they became humans.
(Of course, some theological theories do say something similar).

Evolution is the measureable change in the heritable traits (of a population over successive generations. Evolution is ultimately the source of the vast diversity of the biological world. It is through inheritance of natural variations that occured that we are what we are today.

People and monkeys evolved from a "missing link." We don't still have living missing links and that is why they are called missing links.
