Your dog is so lucky that you want to feed him the very best. Innova, Solid Gold, Wysong, or Canidae.
I have been breeding purebred dogs for the past 38 years. Two years ago, I began feeding Canidae. I have tried all the major premium brands of kibble, but since feeding Canidae, I would never want to feed anything else. My old dogs became younger, my pups grew better than ever, and the in between are robust with good health. My dog's teeth don't need cleaned, and they have Sweet breath.

I use all stage canidae for my cocker and poodle. You can use it from puppy to adult. It's a great quality food. Go online and check out the website. You can't get a better kibble than this. Purina an Iams are filled with a bunch of fillers. I don't recommend these foods.

Try Iam's Small Dog Formula. You can find it pretty much anywhere that sells pet supplies, and it's chock full of all sorts of nutrients and other vitamins that your cocker spaniel needs. Also, you may want to try out some canned foods for your dog too, because everyone likes variation in their diet. Look for the appropriate formula for your dog's size, and you're good to go!

If your dog is a puppy I suggest Purina Puppy Chow. If your dog is a adult dog, I suggest Purina Dog Chow or Beneful. All Purina products are good for dogs, puppies, kittens and cats.

I wish you good luck and may the two of you have a wonderful friendship and companionship for years to come.

I would have to suggest Innova, or California's Natural. When your dog is an adult, if you fed innova puppy formula, you'll want to switch to innova evo. Its the best food out there.
