I just re-installed windows xp home on a laptop that has wireless. Problem is that the wireless icon doesn't show like it did before I re-installed the operating system. None of my recovery discs have drivers to install wireless connections. What can I do to install it?

The answer is, install the drivers. You should have a driver recovery disc....some where. If not, download the drivers from the manufacturer (HP, Sony, Toshiba... whoever made your laptop) from another computer and transport them to your laptop on a flash drive or other media.

Try this and see if this helps. Right click on my computer and then select manage. In the Computer Management windows click on services. Scroll all the way down in the services window and see if there is a service called Wireless Zero. Double click on Wireless Zero and see if the service is enabled. If it isn't click on start and set the startup type to automatic. That should give you wireless capabilities on your computer. Good luck.

Press the wirelss button on your keyboard. I don't know about you but on mine it's FN+F2.

If this doesn't work, you can go to Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Wireless Network Setup Wizard. Follow the wizards instructions fo the type of network you intend to set up.

Check for your network connections icon in the control panel and drag it to your desktop

Good Luck
