My sister has a beagle which is 7 months old, but she hasn't gotten her period yet at what age do u think she will get it. My sister wants to be prepared for this. Thanks.

A dog has 2 periods a year. Their first one should start around 4-6 months and then once they have their second one wich should be in the next 4-6 months they are ready to be mated!!

Dogs usually go into their first heat cycle (get her period) between 6 and 12 months of age. we have a german shepherd who had her first cycle at 10 months.

dogs do get periods!! my dog was bleeding everywhere but im not sure how old she was. im pretty sure she was about 2 months i think. your sister should ask the vet about it. all dogs get theirs at different times, just like people but it shouldn't take more than a year. and if the dog has been spayed then she won't get her period. i hope this helped you!

Well one of Basset Hounds was 6 months old when she went in heat! Now they are about 10 months and one of my girls still have not went in heat yet!

well i think she should be getting it at any time now. i don't exactly know the age in which dogs reproduce but my cousin once had a dog and she got hers around nine or ten months. so just be looking out

Maybe it's pregnate! You better go ask a vet..My dog had his period at 2 months..I think yours is pregnant!

how come she doesn't take the dog to the vet so that she won't get her period cuz it is just gross they bleed all over the place eew.
