OMG thats sad. Well just start by getting back in school. If he is uncomfortable going to the same school let him go to a different one or get home schooling. Then He needs new friends but before he does to much with them you should go with and check them out to make sure there alright then just help him get through school! thats most important because once your educated you can do anything. Even if he hates it help him through. Most of all GOOD LUCK!!

He should start studying immediately to get his GED. If he doesn't have a job he should get one immediately. If he has to wash dished or dig ditches he should whatever it takes to become employed. He should set a realistic deadline to get his GED. Once he as a GED he may not be able to get into a 4 yr College but he can go to Community College or Tech School and get an associates. Or maybe even a trade school if hes good with his hands. With a Associates he can get a better job and also go back to school and get a Bachelors. The longer he waits the harder it Will be so Tell him to get started now. Don't let him feel sorry for himself, tell him to accept his mistakes, learn from them and move on.

You're cousin's lifestyle is not the issue here. Unfortunately, there isn't anything he can do without education. First, your cousin needs to sit down and think about what he wants to do with his life. What type of life he wants to have. Everyone makes mistakes, and at times take the wrong path. However, it is never to late to make amends. Tell your cuz to go back to school. :0)

He should get his GED. That's just as good as a diploma these days. On a GED he can still get into college. Even if he has to start at a community college. With a GED he won't have too many problems finding a job either. He's fine. He made some mistakes but who doesn't. He still so, so young.

if he thinks his life is over
just start over, get GED, job, set goals, plan out task to achieve goals, achieve goals. if something goes wrong its just a setback not a life over scenario
right now he sees his life as a video game & hes on his last guy & really not that good at the game
take your time do what ya you do you will have setbacks but you will always be in the game

Your cousin should try again and take his senior year again and then go to college. If your cousin still has a problem with smoking or drinking, he should go to rehab. Rehab will help him. There is also other careers in which u don't need experience at all and still make good money.

Getting a GED is his best bet. And please tell him that at 19, he can still do ANYTHING! He's still so young. And many colleges accept GEDs, and even if they don't community colleges do too.
Working is always a great way to develop personal responsibility and self-motivation. Some of my friends who went to work and attended community college right after high school are doing better than me.

He can get a G.E.D., which is a general education diploma, I think that's what it stands for. It is the same thing as a high school diploma and carries all the weight that a high school diploma does. Check with the school and they can possibly help him with it.

He doesnt need to go back to school. He can get his GED which is equivilant to a HS diploma. Afterwhich, he can begin to think about what he'd like to do in helping himself move forward in life.
