First 7::::Gen 29:18 And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.

he earned Rachel.....but got Leah::::Gen 29:25 And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?

So the 2nd 7 years::::Gen 29:27 Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years. 28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.

And the third 7 :::::i guess was having the kids, both the children kind, but also the better, healthier lambs and goats:::::Gen 30:42 But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's. 43 And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses........

and raising them, and then going back home to re-acquaint himself with Esau......???

Didn't you ever hear of rounding off? The Bible often speaks in the loose or general sense about things that aren't particularly important. People often do, you know. If a man said he'd been married for five years, and it turned out to have been only four years and eight months, would you call him a liar just for that, or would you accept the loose phrasing for what it is? Had the Bible been pedantic enough to say "twenty years, six months, two weeks, three days, and sixteen hours he worked for Laban," would it have really made things clearer, or would it have obscured what really mattered?
