I am not prejudice, I do not pre-judge anyone. I grew up with mexicans. I just dont understand why proud citizens would run away from their country?

you may think this, but actually some people are the opposite as far as broadcasting thier pride. they feel maybe that they are overcoming or have overcome obstacles and are proud. i see nothing wrong with it. maybe it is a way to encourage people of thier same culture to also strive to succeed. i think this is actually promoting confidence, not low self-esteem. low self-esteem is blamed for too much these days, in my opinion. low self-esteem is being used a lot, i think, as an excuse for just any old thing. perhaps the "mexican pride" people are simply proud of who they are and thier culture. i see no hint of low self-esteem here, perhaps you need a dictionary. while looking up self-esteem, you might opt to look up prejudice.........

I think you might be onto something, there. Problem is, Mexico just doesn't have an economy like america's, their GDP is 1/12th of what ours is, and most of that is controlled by some semi-shady people, and Mexico now has a population 1/3 the size of america, and everybody wants what they've got in america, so they're moving north to get it, legally or otherwise, violently if necessary. Kind of scary, and not the actions of people that had any pride, because if they really did, they'd be hard-at-work improving their own country. Mexico's got a lot of potential,
a lot going for it, but the whole thing still seems to be based on living off america. I think if they were feeling REALLY proud of their country, they'd be jumping up and down on corruption every time they found it instead of sniveling about the past...there are some that would like 'their' land back, a lot of collective 'sour grapes' thinking, No love for america either, despite the billions and billions of dollars that our country's showered them with, over the years, money that's come out of the wallets of american taxpayers and all but given to Mexico. Apparently, they didn't feel like spending most of it on their people....shows you what you get for being overly generous, I guess, people feel then that they can take advantage of you with impunity...they should take their 'mexican pride' and go home and show some...and stop waving their colors over our soil...

I think people who have something to be proud of DO tell others about it.
I think all true pride is based on low self esteem, no matter who is proud of what.

No. Not unless it applies to American, German, French, etc. pride. Have you heard Bush speak? He doesn't miss an opportunity to tell the rest of the world we are bestest, baddest country in the world.

If you already made up your mind, why do you ask such a stupid kiddy question? You must be in elementary school. Adults use their brain in a more worthwhile manner. Who cares?

Most well-adjusted people wouldn't use the descriptor, "arian" [sic] in their name. Who has self esteem problems?
