All doctors of medicine may prescribe any drug they deem necessary for a patients care. The only exceptions are those doctors who have been placed on probation from prescribing certain medicines, because they are drug abusers. All MD's, dentist, and vets have a DEA (Drug enforcement number )assigned to them, signifying that they are authorized to prescribe all drugs allowed by law. The number woud look something like this for Dr.John Doe: AD123456789.
