Grocery stores often give you their old boxes, and they're usually pretty sturdy. Also, you can buy boxes at U-Haul, or any other movingvan store, but they're pricey, when you consider you're buying boxes. So, grocery stores are your best bet. Make nice with the stock clerks, and they'll help you out, letting you know when the shipments come in so you can get the pick of the box-litter.

You can get free discarded boxes by going to grocery stores, or to any appliance stores. Get permission from the store manager first. Also search for the larger boxes first. Then you can search in the newspaper, classifieds, for anyone who is selling their moving boxes. I did this and it was a real bargain. If you don't see an ad, place one yourself. Moving is expensive so cutting down the cost will cause you less stress.

You can go to Best Price Boxes. They have used and new boxes really cheap. I know they have them in Texas where I live. They will buy them back when you are done.

All answers are right but most store crush and bail them before you can get them. I go to constrution sites when the house is allmost built. Thats the time when cabnets and plumbing fixtures are deliverd in boxes they will gladly give you so they dont have the hassel with them, drive around.

You can find them behind liquor stores and supermarkets. The problem with supermarkets is the tops are usually cut off.
Liquor stores usually have the tops on.
Boxes at u-haul for moving are usually $3 to $7 depending on the size.

The liquor stores have heavy sturdy boxes and sometimes you can find them at local grocery stores. Get there when they are stocking the shelfs

Free at grocery stores, but be cautious there - they can contain bugs, roaches, and mold.
Better to buy them. Expensive at office max and U-haul - you'd be well advised to look at www.uline.com.
