The Ultimate Good: God

cannot exist without the

The Ultimate Evil: Satan

these two forces exist in all religions it is part of the basic understanding that keeps them alive. Heaven and Hell are existent in all releigions because everything is simply never too good to be true it will always have an opposite.

The Devil is existent in all religions so that's why he has many names. Every religion has an Ultimate evil and it is usually the Devil, that idea is as common to religion as the idea of god. It won't be defeated, as long as god is perceived to exist so will the Devil.

Because different people from different places gave him different names. Devil, for example is from the Latin "diablo" I think, I suppose others gave it a name more in keeping with their own language. I think it is the same as why God has different names. Just different opinions as well.
