Although it sounds stupid it really is because your cat likes you. When a cat brings you things it is usually sharing it's kill, thats why they often bring you dead birds and things. For what ever reason it sounds like your cat wants leaves, thus it is sharing those with you?

Lucky.My cat brings me moles. I feel so â¥'ed when she does it because its a sign of affection.
