She sure is. Here is what she is thinking...
"Oh yeah bit*h? Well then, what do you think about this?! Yeah, I thought so! Take that, and this, and some of that some more! Hehehehehe."
Way to fix this behavior...spray her with a water bottle every time she does it. Make sure it is on "stream" not "spray". That'll teach her.

My guess is she is frustrated that she can't go outside, so she claws up your furniture to assert some dominance- try putting a blanket over your furniture, and use a squirt gun everytime she does it. Also, get her a piece of cat furniture that she Can scratch up. it doesn't have to be fancy, maybe just a board covered with some carpet. But that will help with the furniture scratching.

The cat is venting frustration. Go fishing. Get a catnip toy and tie it to the line on a fishing pole and cast it across the room or at the cat. The cat will chase and pounce and vent its frustration towards it's pent up urge to hunt and chase.

I would say frustrated more than mad. Cats like to be outside and since she can't she does the next best thing, which is to sit and watch.

Yes. I think she is mad. When ever my cat wants to go outside, but he can't, he will start scartching our carpet. Thats just away of cats trying to get your attention buy scaratching things. Don't worry, I don't think that your cat is mad at you. p.s Leting your cat out at night isn't very safe.

Cats need to use their claws, it's only natural. Get a clawing post for him. He's yearning to go out and claw a tree.

Sounds like you need super nanny to train your cat not to be the boss. Put it in the naughty corner.
