It's not your ex that you miss, it's your past. I bet you put so much hope into the relationship that when it didn't work out, you were extremely disappointed. Which is the reason that its so much harder to get over her. I am sure you know that you are better off now, without her, but you can't help but wonder what could've been...The only way to get over it is TIME.Keep how you feel to yourself (or tell her and than if she doesn't feel the same keep it to yourself)...smile and moveon with your life.OR at least look like you moved on and your happy...you can hurt all you want when you get home but make sure she doesn't see this.After awhile this act will be reality and you really won't feel for her like you did before.

Tell yourself, "If one of us doesn't love the other, it isn't worth trying" Remind yourself, that if you weren't good enough for her the first time, how will the second time end if there was a second time? You will be able to move on trust me. For now remind yourself those things, and if it doesn't work get a hobby you really like and keep yourself busy and her off your mind.

Take your kid on a few outings and invest your energy in that relationship.
Get some hobbies that interest you, join a volunteer group. It's amazing how volunteering can give you a sense of satisfaction - unlike serving just yourself.
