No, gelatin is made from bone marrow, which is why many true vegetarians won't eat Jell-O.

Jello contains "gelatin" which is made of products from either cow and/or pig bones and/or hooves. I've actually talked to a Jello rep who confirmed this a few years ago.
Realistically, whale bones would be too pricey to put in a cheap box of Jello, besides the fact that it's illegal.

"The gelatin you eat in Jell-O comes from the collagen in cow or pig bones, hooves, and connective tissues. To make gelatin, manufacturers grind up these various parts and pre-treat them with either a strong acid or a strong base to break down cellular structures and release proteins like collagen."
