Bring your wallet!!! Id's and about 40$ cash for emergency . A change of clothes is great because when you graduate and travel back home you can wear those lovely civilian clothes that you have had stripped from you for 3 months. (they store you bag of things you will not need for the next 3 months) Hygiene stuff is good... they will take it from you at first but your Di's will put it in a big pile and you will share it with everyone. That was about 5 years ago... I am sure nothing has changed.

Your clothes, glasses, and wallet with a little cash, no credit cards, etc. Everything else is supplied. Get LOTS of rest before you go. In most cases, you will arrive at boot camp early in the morning and not get to sleep until late that night. I got there at 4 in the morning after being up all night and didn't get to sleep until 10PM that night. I'm not sure about regular prescriptions, but I would imagine you should bring along a few days supply with a written prescription from your doctor.
Your clothes will be taken from you when you arrive and kept until you leave, with the exception of your underwear, which they destroy, because they issue you new ones.

When you get there they will take most everything away from you until you graduate from the training. It sounds like you've whittled it down to those items that they will allow you to keep. But on the other hand, if you are going directly to a duty station after training you might want to bring a few items that they can give back to you once you complete the training that you want to have with you at your first duty station. Otherwise you'll have to buy them again or have them shipped to you by your family.

Not too much in the way of physical items. My experience is dated (1979), but they threw all of our civilian shaving gear, and personal items away, as well as any article of clothing that we had next to our bodies, and put the rest in storage. I think I was on the Island less than one day before I was issued all necessary toiletries, etc.
Extra prescription glasses is a good move. you don't get the military issue for a while, and if yours break, you're going have to wait for a while.

Bring the same items you would on an extended vacation.
Razor and blades, shaving cream, toothbrush and paste.
Deodorant, after shave, etc.
Other than that, Uncle Sam will provide everything else.
The only remaining thing you need to bring is a positive attitude.

Your muscles! When I was in the service, you could not wear civilian clothes at all. Bring both!
