What type of bed (hard/medium/soft) is best for a side sleeper. I have a memory foam and it helps but I still wake up very tired and hurting. Also I have went through many pillows looking for a good one but have yet to find one that works. I have tried the foam pillow, $90 down pillow and a $5 walmart pillow. I sleep with a pillow between my knees. I just want a good night sleep. Help!

Continue to use your memory foam mattress and any pillow that gives your neck & head good support. But I suggest that you get a body pillow to rest you arm and leg on to take the strain off of your back. I suspect that when you sleep on your side the weight of you body that is not lying on the bed is putting a considerable amount of strain on you back muscels and even possible your spine. The best way to remedy this error is as I suggested earlier. A full length body pillow that is very thick and firm is the best one to choose for this kind of support. Good luck and sweet dreams.

I never did like the memory foam or the flat pillow and I sleep in the side sometime. I think you should stick with the down pillow or the thick one. Cause we all need to change the pillow once in a blue moon.

Get a contour type of pillow, or a soft, flat type of one, and for in between your knees, get an accent pillow-just the right size.

I was debating between buying this and a memory foam body pillow and I'm so glad I went with this one! It's incredibly comfortable, hasn't lost any fluff or filling and fits perfectly with my headboard width. The pillow case is a nice addition as well as it's hard to find a body pillow case matching the exact dimensions. Definitely glad I purchased this, well worth the money!

as far as bed I haven't a clue but for pillows I use a body pillow because I put it between my knees like you Far more comfortable than a standard size pillow (its about 5ft long and like $8 or so at Wal-Mart)

Believe it or not I think that the best pillow is a pregnancy pillow. They are huge and "u" shaped. I love mine.

Best of Luck!

see if it works, if you can't find a good pillow, take a blanket and fold it and roll it, and then sleep over it to test the height, and if it works there you are a good nights sleep, at least it works for me.
