An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in god or gods. God doesn't believe in itself because it KNOWS that it exists. So isn't god an atheist?

If God believes in itself then it implies that there's a possibility that it doesn't know it exists. If there's a possibility that God doesn't know it exists, then it's possible that it doesn't know everything. Therefore, God CANNOT believe in itself or it is not God.

If there is a God, he is not only an atheist, the only people who will be in "heaven" with him are atheists.
So sayeth the book of mythology.
Additional comment:
God does not believe in a "Supreme Being" nor does he believe in or support religion. God is an atheist.

I dont know. I think you should stop personalizing God as if He were human, and therefore does things like thinking and believing.(Otherwise, if He is one bit less than incomprehensible, that means there is an infinitesimal possibility that he is not supreme, and therefore he is not God) God just is. Dont question any further because you wont get any right answer.
(Maybe God is both multi-individual and one. So each individual believes in the other individuals as God but they all know that they are one. So He is both atheist and not. But seriously, if you know how that Supreme Entity works, It may not be the supreme entity after all.)

If an atheist doesn't believe in himself then God is an atheist. cause as per ur assumption God doesn't believe in itself....how can one who doesn't exist believe in himself and know that he exists. But God exists cause u r thinking about him and trying to prove he doesn't exist.I think u love god more cause u want his support as an atheist, and want to make God an atheist. Good luck.

If God knows he exists, of course he believes in himself.

God would believe in himself BECAUSE he knows he exists. Nice try at an intelligent question.

Here's a way to answer your question: Do you exsist? If so, do you believe that you exsist? If so, does it make you anything less than you are? If not, then how would knowing that He is God, make Him not believe in Himself?
Now, here's a question for you: If you were God, how would you feel if your creation called you an it?

God believes in one's self. Why do you say tht God doesn't believe in itself because it KNOWS that it exists.By knowing, one does not deny one's self.Knowing is believing. One can believe because one knows.Belief can be based on knowledge and not merely on imagination or conjecture. So, God is not an atheist.

Um...no? In order to know something, one has to believe in the simple definiton of "existance." Thus, God, if it exists, would have to believe in itself.

with such utter brilliance in the world --is there not wonder that the planet has night ---the only reason I could think that God would even be considered an atheist by you is that He doesn't believe in You
