No, I don't believe so. There are many different reasons why people are against gay marriages... some are just motivated by fear and hate, others on principle. I am against same sex unions because it goes against Biblical principles. Now, that being said, God teaches Christians not to be so hasty as to judge others. I really try to refrain from doing so. However, once the homosexual agenda tries to change our country's laws, then I have to take a stand against it. I can't control what two consenting adults do in their home, it is not illegal to be gay.
Where do we draw the line? If we legalize same sex marriage, how then can we argue that polygamy should remain illegal. We can push it further, what if someone wants to legally marry their sibling or any other incestuous relationship. One bad act begets another.
If you don't believe me, check out what's going on in Amsterdam. They have pedophiles publicly crying out for legal status. Bottom line, I would have more respect for homosexuals if they 1. were accountable for their choice-- why do they want to convince the world they were born that way? it's a choice, admit it.
2. they really didn't need to be legally married. If they are rejecting moral laws, why do they insist on getting married. Legally, there are power of attorneys and wills they can sign to empower their respective partner.
I would also like to make it clear that I do 100% CONDEMN anyone who physically hurts or injures another human being because they are consenting adult homosexuals. What happened to Mathew Shepard was wrong! No one has the right to take another person's life.
Pedophiles on the other hand are fair game. I think we should hunt the bastards. This is not a very Christian attitude, but I can't help it.

Nope. Those people might be out there, but they're certainly not the ONLY people against gay marriage.
There are many people who are against homosexuality, prostitution, idolatry, immorality, thievery, greed, drunkeness, slander, and swindlers.
But somehow, among these, homosexuality has been chosen to be championed by certain people as acceptable. Sorry, it's not any more acceptable than any of the others. I imagine that soon enough these people will begin to champion the other sins as well. Apparently Christians aren't the only hypocrites in this debate. Check yourself.
9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Unless you are already gay, I think that you would become homopphobic when somebody tries to shove something into your *** that doesn't belong there.
I am not in favor of gay marriage because it is imoral. Homosexuality is an abomination to God. The reason that God made a male and female is for the purpose of procreation, you can't do that with a same-sex relationship.
Besides that, I want to keep my anal virginity.

Why would you be against something you practice, that's hypocrisy and it's even silly to think like that. I don't support gay marriage/homosexuality and I am not even the least homo nor afraid of my own sexuality. It's just wrong. I know people embrace it today or just shrug their shoulders about it but it's not something I would be proud of if I see my children have become one.

I think that could be the case for some, however sadly I think that our society today has just not yet evolved enough to accept gay marriages, be it from they way they were raised, religious doctrine, or plain ignorance (none of which are acceptable reasons to openly protest. Catholics are against birth control, but no one beats a woman up for being on the pill, or tries to pass legistlation preventing her from taking it).

Not really. Morality will always be the issue. I see nothing wrong with it myself, however, in a predominantly catholic country where I belong, where Catholicism strongly forbids homosexuality,
I see no chance for gay marriages. Not just yet.

They are afraid of giving affirmation to a life style that will not produce children.
What about those hetero couples who opt against kids? That's OK, as it is a man and a woman?

No, I don't think they are closet homosexuals. I believe that many of them are very sincere in their beliefs that homosexuality is wrong, and they just don't get the concept of an all-loving God. Many of them don't understand their own narrow-minded insecurity. Others of them are just plain ignorant and somehow fearful that a homosexual might be attracted to them, which I think is probably highly unlikely.
