Pit bull litter 2wks old and in the last two days 3 pups have died. Mom and pups aor outdoors in a storage house and mom brought the pups out in the sun yesterday and the 2 pups died. and this morning I found a pup under her dead. It could be that she is not getting enough supervision but my job wouldn't let me have any more maturnity days and it had only been about 3 hours since they were last check on.

You need to restrict her from moving her pups around. Do not take the pups away. They need their mother for not only food but for socalization. Build a wheping box. It has to be large enough for the mother to strech out comfotably. Do not let her move them around anymore.

i own pits and some times the bitches don't have the instinct to raise a litter.
take the pups away and get a spot away from the female where they have a warm bedding and get simalac or a baby formula...unless you have a breast pump (that humans use)...and milk mom which is the better way as to prevent mastitus (milk hardening in the teets and pups get the needed vitamins from natural milk) and feed them a couple of eye droppers full of the solution you choose every couple of hours or when they startto whine for it.
they will let you know when they are hungry.
if you don't take the pups from the mom....they will most likely all die.
hope this helps.
oh yeah....and at about 4 weeks try getting them to eat canned food mixed with milk...slightly warmed up.

It's not uncommon for a large breed mom to overlay her pups. The usual solution (and the one that works best) is constant attendence to watch she doen't make such mistakes. Pups do better & its actually much less work than raising them as "orphins" Hand raising requires feeding just every 2 hrs or so round the clock, you washing rears, keeping them warm ect. ect. the survival rate is frequently worse than the most inadept dog mom....
IF you didn't notice the pups outside before they died of heat stroke, she's getting WAY too little support.

First of all, take them to the vet to be examined. The vet can give you a formula to bottle feed them. It is like a mothers replacement milk. You will need to feed them quite often, so you will need to be with them quite often.
I had a cat that had kittens and she got hit by a car when the kittens were 8 days old. (She would not use a litter box, all my cats are trained to go the door when they have to use the restroom). What I suggested is what I did for the kittens.
Good luck.

you should keep the pups away from the mother for a while but before you do you should call a vet and ask them to examine the pups and ask for his/her advice.

i have a 5 wk old pit that was taken from her mother at 2 wks. they make a kind of protein shake for puppys you can bottle feed them, and slowly ween them to hard food. my puppy is doing great. she cried the first couple nights, but she got used to the human touch.. you just need patience. but you can definitely do it!!
