THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT PROOFS HERE IS ONE....
Well look at each religion- where did it originate? Ok lets take the most popular religions. Christianity- started by Jesus as Catholicism. Basis= trinity- father, son, and the Holy Ghost. Peter and Paul expanded on his ideas and spread them. I can give you exact history but basically who was it started by- 1 person!!!!!!! ok next, Islam- Mohamad from Saudi Arabia. The whole story how he had to run from Mecca when his rich uncle died (623 c.e.) because the people were fed up w/ him and had only put up w/ him bec of uncle. the hajira (flight to medina) He stays there for 10 yrs gets followers and comes back(632 c.e.)- fight well bec of Jihad. The basis of Islam- Allah- 1 gd .Basically who did it start from- 1 prsn!!!!!!!!! Ok now Judaism- gd gave 3 million Jews the Torah from mnt Sinai. These 3 million Jews passed down the tradition to their decedents. so who'd it start from - 3 million ppl!!!!!!!!!!! Ok now yes according to Christians Jews used to be the chosen people but then HE changed HIS mind. If that is true- why couldn’t Gd have told the Jews that after all he did tell them all they were the chosen ppl- no even better why couldn’t gd tell the WHOLE WORLD that he changed his mind????!!! I mean we all agree gd can do ANYTHING right?? All the other religions started from 1 person. Judaism- 3 mill!!!! Okay so now u might ask how do you know history is true?? Well lets see what makes history?- If I told How do u know WWII happened you’d answer- its history. If I said would u bet ur life that the Netherlands beat Serbia and Montenegro 1 to 0?! ud answer YES! why? because there were a billions of ppl who witnessed this. This proves THE AMOUNT OF PPL WHO CLAIM AN EVENT MAKE IT HISTORY!!! 3 million ppl cant make up a lie and spread it - THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE – so it is obviously true!! however 1 prsn CAN make s/t up-and make other ppl believe it. I find s/t fishy going on if gd had to go to 1 prsn !! i mean gd can tell the world.
SECOND PROOF-
All other religions say if you don’t follow that religion u will burn in hell!! What IS up with that???!!!! So in that case everyone will end up in hell- ..IF EVERYONE’s religion is true (this cancels the “every religion is true” theory). According to Muslims, an innocent good charitable person from a different religion will go to hell bec they aren’t Muslim- DIE Die! HELL !!!is what they will say will happen to a 6 year old Christian girl! Is that normal???? However according to the Jewish religion non Jews do not go to hell- the have their seven laws they must keep However they ARE NOT sentenced to HELL just bec they are not Jewish!!!
BOTTOM LINE.....well wat do u think the 1 true religion is now??
BTW- The Jewish Religion ENCOUREGES questions. In Jewish Private Schools, teachers INSIST that students question their beliefs.
There are other proofs...any Q lemme know, although I'm very busy at this point of my life (that’s y horrible typing ) but when I saw this Q I just had to answer . Good luck!

I think the reason for choosing a religion or another is that one can or can't promise you everlasting life, we don't practice religion just for fun. We want to have a better future after this life ends.
But the point is that religion can't give you everlasting life, only God can, IF you believe that Jesus was the Son of God and receive him in your heart as Lord and Savior, and if you stop sinning and choose a holy life(here in this life) than you will have everlasting life(after this life in Haven with God). If not you will go to Hell (a place where there is no hope no future, only pain and sufferings)
So religion can help you, but can't save you from sin, only God can.
So the religion that can help you the most is the one which keeps it's standards up, according to the Bible, and is not changing the truth of the Bible
God Bless!!!

The true religion is the one that you believe in. No religion, modern or ancient can stand up under examination. It's all in the head.
Religion started back in the stone age by people who couldn't face the fact that they're going to die someday. They came up with the idea that some part of them will continue to live after the flesh and bone are gone.
That's what religion is all about - - - - an attempt to avoid permanent death. A nice idea, but it doesn't happen.

There is a commonality to all religions. Religion is what we must do to earn God's favor. All religions focus on the life we live in this world.
Christianity really isn't about "religion" (although some make it appear that way). Christianity teaches that there's nothing we can do to earn God's favor -- rather, that favor was earned on our behalf through Christ. Therefore, "good works" come naturally...as a response from our faith. Unfortunately, some people seem to forget that and get hung up on "rules & requirements".
"pure religion is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." (James 1:27)
Religion doesn't make anyone "right with God"...only Jesus can do that. Therefore, a "true religion" is simply an honest response in recognition of what God has done for us.
Finally, no, there is nothing wrong with questioning your beliefs...it is only through questioning that we learn and grow.

Islam is the True religion
Islam is the first and the oldest of all religions. People have a misconception that Islam is 1400 years old and that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the founder of this religion. Islam existed since time immemorial, ever since man first set foot on this earth. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was not the founder of Islam. He was the last and final Messenger of Almighty God.
A religion cannot be claimed to be most pure and authentic, only on the criterion that it is the oldest. It is similar to a person saying that the water he has kept in an open glass, in his house, outside the refrigerator, for three months is purer than the water which has just been collected in a clean glass, immediately after it has been purified.
On the other hand a religion cannot be claimed to be the purest or authentic, only on the criterion that the religion is new or the latest. A bottle of distilled water which is sealed, packed and kept in the refrigerator for three months is much purer than a bottle of water freshly collected from the sea.
For religion to be pure and authentic, it should not have interpolations, changes and revisions in its scriptures revealed from God
Moreover the religion’s source of inspiration and direction should be Almighty God. The Qur’an is the only religious scripture on the face of the earth which has been maintained it its original form. All the other religious scriptures, of all the other religions have interpolations, additions, deletions or revisions. The Qur’an has been in the memory of a multitude of people, intact in its original form ever since its revelation, and now there are hundreds of thousands of people who have preserved it in their memory. Moreover, if you compare the copies made by Caliph Uthman from the original Qur’an which is yet present in the museum in Tashkent and in Koptaki museum in Turkey, they are the same as the ones we possess today.
A religion cannot be claimed to be the best religion only on the criterion that it is the oldest. It is similar to a person saying, that my 19th century car is better than a Toyota car manufactured in 1998, because it is older. He would be considered to be a fool to say that his 19th century car which required a rod to be turned in circles to start it, is better than a key-start 1998 Toyota car, just because it is older.
On the other hand a religion cannot be called as the best religion only on the criterion that the religion is new or that it came later. It is similar to a person who says that my 800 cc Suzuki car manufactured in 1999 is better than a 5000 cc Mercedes 500 SEL manufactured in 1997. To judge which car is better, a person should compare the specifications of the car e.g. the power of the car, safety measures, the capacity of the cylinders, the pickup, the speed, the comfort, etc. 5000 cc Mercedes, 500 SEL car manufactured in 1997, is far superior and better than a 800 cc Suzuki (Maruti Suzuki 800) manufactured in 1999.
A religion is best, if it has the solutions to the problems of mankind
It should be the religion of truth, and should be applicable to all ages. Islam is the only religion which has the solution to all the problems of mankind. e.g. the problem of alcoholism, surplus women, rape and molestation, robbery, racism, casteism, etc.
Islam is the religion of truth, and its laws and solutions are applicable to all the ages. The Qur’an is the only religious book on the face of the earth, which has maintained its purity and authenticity proving itself to be the word of God in all the ages. i.e. previously, when it was the age of miracles, literature and poetry and in present times when it is the age of science and technology. Moreover, Islam is not a man-made religion, but a religion revealed and inspired by Almighty God. It is the only religion acceptable in His Sight.

The key is not to try and find the One True Religion but to find the true things in each religion that work for you. I doubt there will ever be a religion that the whole world accepts. Why should they. Each person is so unique that they will need unique guidance made just for them. If each person researches every religion they will find that they have need for something in each.

There are very many religions; and as you've noted, since they contradict, not all of them can be the right one. But FINDING the right one is an impossible task, plain and simple; we just don't live long enough to search through even a significant number of them. So, the only thing we can hope for is that there is a god who cares enough for us to WANT us to know the truth.
Deducing from the above, if there IS a god who cares for us and wants us to know the truth, then he obviously doesn't want it to be easy for us.
So, if there is a god, and he does want us to know him and the task of finding him on our own is an impossible one, then the obvious conclusion is that we are being tested to see how earnestly we want the truth. If we make a sincere effort at trying to find him, he will step in and show us the answer.
(Of course, the alternate to all these 'ifs' is pointless oblivion, so there is no need to cover them.)
But you do need to first PROVE (note, I said PROVE, not just wimp out and go with your feelings or current desires) to yourself that there is a god.
The answer I found for that I have given in another Yahoo! Answers question; You can find that answer here:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnAP2b1RToSkUiyB_NYRM9Psy6IX?qid=1006022204304
After that, you will need to find out how he leads us to the knowledge of the truth.
Although I've only read a small sampling of the world's cache of religious tests, I have found the Bible to be the most consistant and truthful (again, it will be your task to prove it to youself). And I believe that God has opened my mind to understand his message in the Bible (Though it is not in code, it is not made plain; it requires the mind of God to understand).
The bottom line, I've found that Christianity is the Way to truth and a happy life eternal. Not the christianity of the world, the most popular and well known christianity, but the one set forth by Jesus and his disciples, sometimes called the 'Primitive' Church of God. Because Satan has been allowed to build a number of false "christian" churches to deceive the many (Revelation 12:9, Matthew 24:5, 11, Mark 13:6).
You will have to prove all of this for yourself (I Thessalonians 5:21); but as Jesus Christ said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Matthew 7:7).

If you're to look at the basis of each and every religion, the main premises of each is to provide a guide for enriching your way of life and to explain what happens when you die. Humans turn to religions so they can have guidance, so they can feel better about this life and what's to come afterwards--to cope and to "belong" to explain the unexplainable (because we just don't like NOT KNOWING). To think of it in those terms, one could easily say that psychology is the "one true religion" if forced to make such a statement.

Christianity. It and Judaism are the only current religions dating back to the beginning time. The rest were religions created by a certain person, who then spread the religion. This is the only know religion created by God.

The Bible tells us that the true religion is a pure religion. And it follows the teachings and beliefs of Jesus and the Apostles. The rest came from an antiChrist spirit. An antiChrist spirit is a spirit against that of Jesus Christ.
