Florida does have a season and have extended the public waters hunt this year "The Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWCC) has voted to extend the public waters hunt, the new season is August 15th through October 31st of 2006"

You are wrong my friend....Florida outlawed hunting gators many years ago ,,,,you can only kill nuisaince gators in Florida....Louisiana is the only state that I know of where you can hunt gators for food purposes.
