Are you shoes to short? If your shoes are mushing your toes into a position that toes were never meant to be in, your toenails could hurt from that. If that isn't the case, maybe some kind of fungus?

Have you had atheletes foot? They maybe infected with fungal nail syndrome. Are you shoes the right size? If it continues, I suggest you visit you doctor.
