I have a Siamese cat named Thorin. My aunt gave him to me four years ago and we've been inseperable ever since.
Two years ago, my parents dragged me along on their vacation to Washington, and made me leave the pets at home.
"Oh, they'll be fiiiiine," they said.
No indeed. When I got back, Thorin had pushed the screen out of the kitchen window and he was gone. I found my mom's cat, Sally, in a tree. It was pouring down rain and we couldn't find Thorin. I was having a mental breakdown. He was gone.
Twelve days later. I was in my room reading a book when my little brother came in.
"I've got a surprise for you," he said.
I said ok and he left. A few seconds later in he comes WITH THORIN!!! He'd spent an hour coaxing him out from under my dad's truck. We think he must've gotten on my neighbor's roof. Their house recently burned, and there was a gaping hole. We figure he fell through and it took 12 days for him to get out. But now I have my miracle cat back and I couldn't be happier. Sorry that was so long but when people mention cats I just keep on talking!

(P)awwww! Thanx 4 sharing ur touching story.
I've learned that people r wired for touch & that laughter jogs the soul. So, it's good to hug and be hugged by cats. Also, these two, here, are commedians. They team up against me to get their way...they win. (lol)
In the early years, they had their own beds. However, they wanted mine. I didn't have the heart to close the door in their faces, so the cat bed was moved into my room. Well, they had a plan. I was exhausted; went to bed; they ignored thier beds to jump on mine. I got up; took them off (that's when I learned a new meaning for "velcro"); they jumped back on and this went on for a while. Next, one ran around me clockwise; the other counter-clockwise, so I became tired and dizzy! That lasted a while. Afterward, these 2 successfully schemed to have their way when, by secret cat looks, one jumped onto the bed and while I grabbed that one and put her on the floor, the other jumped onto the bed. I grabbed him for removal, she's on and running around... u get the idea. All I could do was stand in the middle of the room and conceed. " You win; you win! I'm tired; I give up. You win!" When I woke up the next morning, I was the filling of a "cat sandwich". It's been 7 yrs. I no longer have a bed because it's now "our bed". Cats 1 ---- Humans 0 (lol)
