It's not a matter of believe. Depending on the life situation, to have the child born actually can destroy two lifes, if not more.
Just to have a child for moralic reasons, is no solution. But of course, people should use preservatives and birth control - I really do not understand some churches being against these methods as well as being against abortion the same time. That's just weird.
In most European countries, abortion is allowed until the 14th week of pregnancy, and I think that's a sensible restriction.

This is a very controversial subject. A rape victim should be able to decide if she wants an abortion without any objections I think. Someone answered that the baby may turn out successful, but I dont think it matters if the baby has potential of being successful or not, they are both important either way. Another person answered with a quote from the Bible. I really can't stand when people attempt to throw the Bible at us. I am a Christian and have a strong faith. But we all sin and don't stop to think that there is some verse in the Bible talking about being against something that we do that is wrong, but the Bible verse quoting people dont think about that when it comes to them and their wrongs. Isn't that bizarre? Pretty sacrilegious eh? All in all, as much as I love life, I really think that when it comes down to it that the pregnant woman should be able to do what she wants to do. I wonder just how many of these people against abortion has a thing or two in their lives going on that are illegal, inhumane, and down right disgusting? You never know. Too many people trying to force their beliefs on others. Bottom line.

We can not give life to anyone so we also dont have the right to kill anyone or deny anyone the right to live just coz we did not take enough precautions while having fun.
In case it is rape, then our society has to be sensitised about this social evil.
I think abortion is an easy way out but the long term effect of this evil practice harms the society by robbing it of its values and justice. We have to be proactive rather than reactive to cure this rather than taking prevenntive measure like abortion.

Abortion is a very personal issue. While I would consider it only if my life were in danger, I can't tell someone else not to. After all, they're the one who has to look after the child. I have no right to tell someone else that they should raise a child who is severly handicapped, etc. It's their decision.
As for someone else being out there to help you, this is not always the case. Not everyone has a supportive family or social services in their area. Until we have better social services, more people will choose abortion.

I do not believe that abortion should be considered a convenient form of birth control. I do believe that it should be available for cases of incest, rape or for women with certain medical conditions where pregnancy would be detrimental for them or for the child. Ultimately, it's not a black and white issue and I really detest the fact that people who have not been put into a situation where they have to make the choice to abort or not feel the need to pass judgment on others.

I agree with you, If they really can't do it, it's not the babies fault, and it's better to give them up for adoption so they have a chance in life.
Think before you sleep with someone, there is always the chance of having a baby even if you don't think it would happen to you.

Why is it OK to kill a baby if it's conceived from a rape? It's not the baby's fault...

it is MURDER. The Bible also condemns it in cases of rape (see Deuteronomy 24:16 and Ezekiel 18:20)
