in that situation there really isnt anything you can do about it. if he likes you your friend should feel happy for you. i mean she might get over him and move on once she finds out that he likes you if he does. and if he asks you out she should feel even more happy and soon she wont even care. but if she starts to ignore you just call her and talk to her she will open up after a while and you could still be the best of friends.

I'm going to guess you're a teenage gal. Often times friendships made in the teens last for a very long time. I've known my best friend for over 14 years. Now, is your friendship really worth a guy you'll never marry, forget about in a few months, and get nothing out of in the end. Your best friend, however, will stick with you through the thick and the thin. My Mom is 50 and has known her best friend since she was in the 3rd grade. Think about what you're doing. Us guys have a saying, "Bros before hoes"

Don't bother. It's an unwritten rule that you should never date friends of your exes, no matter what the circumstances were in which they broke up, and even if they are possibly okay with it.
It just invites too much possiblity for trouble, and you have a lot to lose if things go wrong.

as an unspoken rule never date someone your friend has dated or is interested in. guys come and go, friends are forever but only if you don't push them over the edge. keep your freindship dump the guy. believe me even if she says she doens't care it will come back to haunt you in the future. you need to ask yourself what is more important a maybe relationship with this guy who may or may not dump you in a week or month or a lasting friendship.

If you value your relationship with your freind you will leave him alone. If you dont care at all about your freind, (witch means she is not really a freind) then have at it. There is no way you can have your cake and eat it too in this situation, if your freind is crazy about him the way you think she is, you will hurt her very badly if you make the move to be with this guy.

Ask the boy if he likes your friend. If he does, then it gets complicated. Depending on how much you like him, you might end up using reverse psychology to get him(saying she could have him, but looking sorry), just acting like little girls(fighting about him), or actually let her have him. If he doesn't like her, then you have a clear go.

But he will like you definitely, be sure that you dont ignore him whenever he looks at you, first give him a chance to admire at you, then proceed like you want to give him something.
