how do I tell if a guy really wants to get married? he asked me a yr ago and I have come up with a cool date of next yr. and I asked him if I should start to REALLY plan it, he said "yah" but he don't seem interested in anything that I suggest about it, like he really don't care. is this just a guy thing or is he really not wanting to get married?

guys just really are not ones to get all excited over all aspects of planning a wedding, he I am sure is excited. just include him in things like picking out the cake, and invitations, get his help with the guest list and help with the bridal registries.

I would be extra careful on how you go about doing the whole wedding thing. Mabey he is stressed so much about it that he is exhausted, if he asked you last year , you should've already started heading to the altar. But if he loves you then that must be the reason he asked you to marrying him in the first place. I think that you are thinking about things to much. I know because i do the same exact thing and when my boyfriend asked to marry him. I was in complete freaking out mood, he had to re-assure me a couple of times that he wanted to still marry me. I belive that if a guy has that much courage to ask you then chances are he does love you after all. But mabey you should try to talk things out with him or hint to that you are feeling confused about him wanting to marry you but at the same time tell him that you are postive that he is the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. I am getting married in September, and he wants to but as far as helping me plan lol I am on my own...
sit down and tell him you are not sure if he really wants to get married and that you are ready but you want him to be 100% too
communication is the key

hate to tell u, he's not interested.
If he was truly interested he would show some excitement or enthusiam in the planning process not just a one word answer.
Start holding out on him. That will tell you if he truly loves you.
Watch how fast he starts talking then.

If you're engaged, plan the wedding! Some guys don't want to get involved with all the details.....

What I loved about planning my wedding was his disinterest, yet he would tell everyone that I wouldn't let him do anything! GRRRRR.... wrong! ;) Actually, I DID plan it all, and when all was said and done, he came up to me and said that he appreciated all the hard work and details that I put into the wedding. He said that it was beautiful and he was sorry he wasn't more involved.

You should talk to him,ask him if hes intrested in marrying you.Ask him if he really loves you that much to marry you and show intrest into getting married.Communication should work.
