go to online communities that interest you. Or volunteer outside the home...that way you can meet new people and your parents wont give you a hard time

Don't think u r lonely. U r in such a beautiful world to live. There are so many nice and kind and beautiful people out there. believe me. i once felt the same way as u do. Even now i don't ve too many friends just precious few. When ever i get time i spend with them. i doesn't matter even if u don't have any topic to speak about. just be with them. I'm no longer lonely. some are there for me even though not all of the world. WORLD IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. And i just stopped thinking about being lonely. Do something that interests u. cook, join gym, yoga, social service and meet different people ... Life is to enjoy.

an individual can be lonely at heart, feel like an outsider, even in a crowd. one must find out one's inclinations, towards hobbies which do not require other participants. like reading, photography, tarot reading, meditation etc. useless gossiping and empty talk should be avoided. can that family problem be not solved? what is it? i think and guess that it is some social stigma, or inferiority complex which does not allow a free interaction with your relatives. if you like a particular relative, defy your parents and go meet him. don't comply to your parents submissively. you should also meet a counsellor to find out the causes of you loneliness. were you frustrated in love? or educational drawbacks? if you are not able to pinpoint the cause of your depression, it's your mental make-up which needs to be changed.listen to some good music, read classics, engage in creative work and keep busy. an empty mind is a devil's workshop, it is said.

I think that it might not be that you're lonely but that you're isolated. You need to do what you can to fix the family problem and regain contact with your relatives. I'm pretty sure that with your friends around you can't be lonely and as soon as you find a better relationship with your family you won't feel so isolated anymore. You can email me if you like. Best wishes

Some of us have feelings of isolation and loneliness often. I do know that prayer will help. When you feel lonely, do something that you enjoy and that feeling will go away. You are not alone in having these feelings. Just do not let them control you. Take charge of your life and have fun ! You can do it !
