Yes. Especially if she has a hymen. Then there's lots of bleeding.
Most other times it hurts a little because it's a new experience.

either male or female will experience some pain. females the pain comes from the hymen being broken and alittle bleeding will occur. just like a paper cut.a male will hurt about 10 minutes after his first orgasm. simply because the sperm and seminal fluid are stored in the testes and the tube that is called the urethra where urine and sperm combined with seminal fluid is ejected from.it hurts because the vas deferens has not had any action and the first time is always the worst.it is extremely more pleasuable the 2nd time.like they say no pain no gain.

Maybe a better question to yourself would be "if I am a virgin, why am I considering having intercourse?"
I don't know your age or the circumstances but here is what I know. There are many diseases out there, everything from herpes to HIV. The vast majority of boys pressure girls into sex when they are not emotionally ready. If you respect yourself and your body, others will have to respect you in return, if you don't they will use you. From a moral standpoint, intercourse before marriage is considered a sin.
Really think this through. Is this something you really want? Or is someone pressuring you?

Being a virgin doesn't hurt.
Losing your virginity can.
It depends on your partner.
I've had the priviledge of being with 3 first timers in my life. The last went the best... comfort wise... because I learned how to better approach it. The key to minimizing discomfort is PATIENCE... and taking a lot of time.

for a couple seconds when your hymen breaks, and you will more than likely see a little blood dont be alarmed.
