Tofu is made from soy beans by coagulating soy milk and then pressing the resulting curds into blocks. It is similar to making cheese from milk.

It's basically the same way you make cheese from dairy milk. You boil the milk with a chemical (nigari in the case of tofu; rennet is used for dairy cheese) coagulator that causes the milk to separate into curds (the lumpy solid part) and whey (the thin liquid part). You take the solids and press it to make into tofu.

tofu grows on trees i seen it. Yup i seen the great tofu tree when i was liven in Tofufuville with is in Ohio. Milk that's plum crazy
