Most dogs have a little bad breath, but if your dogs braeth is really bad, you should go to the vet and have her teeth and gums checked, you should also get her checked for worms. You should also go 2 a petco, and get her breath freshening dog treats, or if she will open her mouth 4 u, pet stores alse have little rubber textured things that you an put over your finger to brush her teeth.

Good luck :D

Change her diet, it may be giving her a lot of gas or not allowing her to maintain a clean mouth. Canned dog food is TERRIBLE for dog's teeth. They need to chew hard stuff.

She is very young to have teeth problems already, but see if her teeth are all covered with plaque---if they are, give her 'dental bones' to chew, and you can brush them with DOG toothpaste, do not use people toothpaste, it's not good for dogs, they swallow it.

If the problem is really bad, you can get her teeth cleaned, and the vet can eliminate any other possibilities.

Sometimes if they are the age where they are losing the baby teeth, the breath will smell. It is the blood from the baby teeth coming out. And the smell of dead baby teeth that NEED to come out. Check and see if that is the case. If it is, it will get better when the teeth all come out. Give her some chewies and it will help get the teeth out!!

Give her hard treats to chew, it will clean her teeth. Or give her a fabric toy (my dog loves the ones with squeakers in it) to chew on, that will clean her teeth also. A vet can brush her teeth if nothing else works. I had a dog that didn't like hard food at all, just the soft stuff, and his teeth ended up rotting. Good luck!

You should go to your vet about it. There are some problems such as mouth rot that can occur in young dogs. Or if she chewed on something and it got stuck in her gums. A lot of things can be disguised as mouth odor.

What you do is go to a local pet store and ask for dog toothpaste, it comes in a little packet with a toothbrush and everything. Also they have little doggy mints.

Try changing her food to dry complete. Also have her teeth checked. I give my 5 dogs raw turkey necks to keep their teeth gleaming white and free of plaque.
