A lot of exercise and healthy eating. Just try to improve what you eating. Like stay away from stuff you shouldnt eat. We shouldnt eat fast food, chips, french fries, pizza. Although that all of that stuff is good and is ok to eat every once in a while it shouldnt be your whole diet. Your diet should consist of more vegetables, whole grains, protien, fiber, etc.

Well, the diet I'm on is...Don't eat junk food. I mean I have a 'bad' snack in tiny proportions once or twice a week. The rest of the week I eat weight watchers and healthy choice microwave meals.

You'll loose weight this way, I have, but the thing about it is that it's a diet you can live with...and that's really the most important part b/c you don't want a crash diet.

For example, if I go to Mc Donalds I get a chicken sandwich. Most of the time, I pull off the bread just because I don't like it...
I guess you just need to eat a good bit of meat.

The best route is to eat lots of vegetables! Don't drink fruit juice because it is pure sugar, instead eat the fruit it's self because the pulp helps to keep your body from completely absorbing all that sugar. (Even though it's fruit, it still has some bad sugar) You'll have to eat more meat if you're going to cut down on the carbs. I say don't completely cut carbs out, just cut back on them a little.

Also, cut back on the salt (water retention/high blood pressure).

Eat small portions multiple times a day. Only eat until you're not hungry, you don't have to constantly eat until your full. This will help you shrink your stomache so you don't get hungry as often.

If I get hungry between meals I eat fruit or those low fat gummy fruit snack, dried fruit bits, low fat snack packs...and other low fat snacks...

Stop drinking soda and start drinking lots of water. The more water you drink the less hungry you are. If you don't like plain water, use crystal light or another 0 calorie, 0 fat additive. They say carbonation is bad for weightloss but I really don't understand why...however, that's what I hear. Plus soda is loaded with sugar and useless calories.

You just have to think about what you're eating before you put it in your mouth.

What I did was clean house and throw away all the junk food. Then just don't buy more. It's that easy. So when you get 'snacky' you won't have a choice. lol

Once you loose enough weight to where you're comfortable exercising...that's when you should start getting into a routine. I picked up Belly Dancing because it works out your abs and it's very graceful.

Weightloss takes time. I have a routine that works for me. You'll findout what works best for you.
I've tried everything from SouthBeach to Micheal Thurmonds 6 Week Makeover. Those were good diets and I've learned a lot, but they weren't good for the body per say and they certainly weren't going to be practical for long term.

I think you should read the southbeach diet book and read info on Micheal Thurmonds 6 week make over because it is informative, however, they aren't practical.

I say stay away from all diet pills! They screw up your body.

Good Luck and if you need someone to talk to, you can email me.

Hi, I have lost 60lbs (24 kgs) since January without exercise. The trick is to keep your insulin levels as low as possible by avoiding carbohydrates and eating more protein and having a minimum of 5 hours between meals with no snacks. Insulin lowers your blood sugar and prevents the metabolism of fat and protein. Low blood sugar results in hunger, protein does not stimulate your appetite. The foods to avoid AT ALL COSTS are:- Potatoes, pasta, rice, bread, beer, onions, peas, carrots, pumpkin, parsnip, beetroot, breakfast cereal, sugar, baked goods, porridge, desert, fast /processed food, dried fruit and pastry. Foods to eat VERY sparingly are fruit, olive oil, nuts and milk. No marg or butter. You should have more eggs, lean meat, skinless chicken, fish, cheese and yogurt. Lots of salad, mushrooms and green leafy veggies. If you increase your protein at the expense of carbs you will not feel hungry. Drink at least 2 litres of water a day. Good luck, Jules, Australia.

you cant eliminate certain foods altogether. that leads to bingeing and deprivation. really the only thing that works is lowering calories and increasing activity. i believe in everything in moderation. don't totally cut out a certain food eat what you want but watch your portion sizes. always make sure you have some form of activity right after eating so your body has a chance to burn it off. eat your food groups. veggie are low in cals and high in fiber so you feel full quicker. friut is good when yoiu want something sweet. remeber fad diets dont work long term. they are about deprivation and sometimes starvation and no one can stick to them long term.

Balance. Don't deprive yourself of anything, just have it in moderation. I am a vegetarian. My diet consists of fruit, vegetables, fish, whole grains and dairy. I eat ice cream, but only once a week. I eat candy, but not regularly. I seem to maintain okay.

I'm really agreeing w/ what Max said. I clicked to answer your question and I was going to say the exact same thing, but when I saw it already there, I didn't want to copy.

I think a healthy body is one that is muscular and functioning properly. If you have high energy and you eat healthy, and you feel good aobut yourself, then I think that is a healthy body.
