Above is correct "Splenda". They have two kinds. One just Cup for Cup Sugar Substitute. The other for Baking it like 1/2 Cup to Cup. It is sweet like sugar. I actually use it for my Diabetic Mother and usually not use a Cup just cut to the Sweetness you enjoy.

Splenda, because it is derived from sugar (they're not absolutely sure of its long-term safety, though). Try Stevia, it's a natural sugar substitute that you can find at health food stores.

Splenda is an ester made from sucrose (sugar). The only bad thing is that it is metabolized into an aldehyde by your body.

It can be used and measured for cooking just like sugar.
