Should I tell my one legged friend she is missing a leg?

Don't tell her, she has no clue and she might fall down upon figuring it out.

That would be mean. If she doesn't already know she's missing a leg, then you don't need to tell her. Either she is a little slow and won't be able to handle somebody telling her that or she has learned to deal with it and it is a part of normal life.

If you need to tell her this then I think you don't have to tell her since she's got bigger issues at hand. Besides, isn't it better to let her figure it out for herself? How will she ever learn that her body parts are missing if everybody needs to tell her?

If she doesn't know that she's missing one out of two legs, there may be a larger problem at hand.

Grab her crutch and say, "want it ? huh, huh? do ya? come and get it !" Then toss it on the roof. I think when she sees it sitting up there she will get the hint that, hey, I am missing more than my crutch! I'M MISSING MY BLOODY LEG!
