How long does it take for streaks to fade?

i had the same problem my ccousin gave me orange streaks. i cut my hair short so they woud grow out faster, but it took so long and i hated my hair that i dyed it black, so it would look normal

Highlights where the hair has been bleached instead of coloured shouldnt fade, but grow out.

That depends on the kind of hair color you used, if it is permanent it would not fade. I recommend you see a professional if you can recolor your hair.
