Something im curious about but am afraid to ask for fear of being slapped?

since im a christian ive been taught to believe that satan is using gay people to destroy my soul

im so afraid to ask why that is cause i might lose my salvation, but something tells me that this just doesnt make any sense

i guess i should just tell gays they are going to burn in hell cause i dont want to upset anybody

You are going to tell gays that they are going to burn in hell because you don't want to upset anybody? You don't think that you will upset the homosexuals that you tell this to?

One way or another you are going to upset someone.

You should listen to what your heart is telling you and be true to yourself. Don't accept what anyone else tells you at face value. If it doesn't ring true in your heart then you are a hypocrite to pretend otherwise.

I think deep, deep, deep down inside of you, there is a person who sees the truth about God being all-loving and a person who is able to be tolerant of the fact that there are people with conflicting beliefs to your own, who aren't necessarily evil.

I suggest that you do some studying of alternate beliefs and lifestyles and make up your own mind about what you believe.

The reason christians say that is because gays are against "gods plan"
Most gay people wont get mad at you if you ask it, at least the ones I know, and no, asking something like that wont cause you to lose your religious salvation as long as you have your faith in whatever denomination believes in. Simply learning is not gonna send you straight to hell, but telling gays they are going to burn in hell because you dont want to upset anyone is kinda... wierd. If someone looked at that without reading the rest of the question they might think you mean gays arnt "anybody" but as to your question... no idea ^__^'''

Yes, you will lose your salvation if you even think of gay people.
Get them out of your mind now, and don't ever let the thought enter your mind again!
Every time you think of gays, you get knocked down a notch on the Salvation Scale.
However, if you bring your tithe up to 20% instead of the customary 10%, you gain a notch.
You might need to get a better job...or move to a cheaper place in order to keep up on the Salvation Scale as it is difficult for us to get gay people out of our minds because it is so disgusting.
Do not be afraid, though.
Every time you tell a gay person that they are going to burn in hell, you gain 10 notches, and every time a gay person slaps you, you are guaranteed eternal life.

Er..if you seriouskly cant see the contradictions in your belief, then i think you seriously need help. What kind of Christian are you anyway? The Christian quivalent of Al-Qaeda? Man, lighten up. Don't go around telling 'gays' their going to burn in hell, thats just horrendous. Besides, if God is loving..why wont he let people be themselves? How can he love, yet thrown them into hell?

My friend is a homosexual, but a die hard Christian. She's the most moral, polite, and innocent girl I've ever met. She goes to church every Sunday, and she goes to a church youth group every Thursday. She prays, and always says a prayer before eating dinner. She's very religious, but she's homosexual. Does that mean kind hearted people of your own religion should go to hell just because of their sexuality?

Learn to think for yourself. No, what you have learned doesn't make sense. Jesus himself hung out with prostitutes and others that society condemned. It is not Jesus who did the condemning, but mistaken preachers who do not know the works of Jesus. Jesus gave us a couple of really good suggestions when he said.."fear not" and "Love your neighbor". Religion, most particularly Christianity, is a fear based religion when if actually following the suggestions of Jesus would be tolerant, compassionate, helpful and forgiving.
So, perhaps you would be really wise to follow Jesus' example and seek a more "Christian" church.
You can't lose your salvation, it is guaranteed by our Creator..It is grace.

well I'm a christian to, and i don't believe that gays are secretly trying to convert me to being bad i try to look at them like i do someone smoking a cigarette its wrong but hey this is America and they have to have rights to i guess, i really don't agree. but i try not to be a ball of hatred and judgment. cause then the answer would be yes cause id be sinning just the same. but i feel you its real hard to look at being homo as a sin, like the rest all things are according to gods grace and they will be saved if they believe
