Why would I have three cable outlets (at least appear to be cable outlets) coming out of my wall in one outlet

I have them in almost every room of my house, but I'm not sure what they're for or how they work? Its just three co-axial outlets all together and they show up in at least four different rooms and in one room there is an additional outlet right next to it with four cable outlets?

One/two could be for cable and the other, for antennas (network tv). Take a coaxial cable and connect the tv to one, then the others and see what stations you get. Run the autochannel programming option if your tv has it when its connected to each port.
