does anybody know anything about an appendicostomy or ACE and what it is like to live with it?

my daughter needs one and we don't know much about it, serious answers only please.

i don't know what ACE is but appendicostomy is made in surgery and is it when is made a hole in the appendix for eliminate somthing or drag somthing out (depending the ill). it is made for all the time or just for the moment.
