I know what you mean. I got 2 dogs now and they help a lot. I only get paranoid when they start crying or I can't hear them running around outside.

drugs are not going to help you, you went thru something serious and have a right to feel paranoid! Consider talking to a counselor or therapist about these feelings if you truly think you are over reacting. I doubt anyone is watching you, but if you can afford it get out do so into a different neighborhood. Also consider changing your locks and installing a security system. Make sure if anything else comes up missing or you see anything at all suspicious report it to police. I always feel safe when I see a cop, but I dont know about the area you live in.

I would definitely look into security of some sort so it will help you eliminate some of the paranoia or I suggest moving to a neighborhood you're much more comfortable in. As far as security goes, there's lots of technology out there so that no one can break in again and you'll feel more safe knowing there's not random people roaming around in your house or anything.

I have the same problem, minus the experience. I don't want to talk to a therapist, because I fear they just wouldn't understand. Don't take drugs, whether they are anti-depressants or those of the illegal variety. Also, get a night-lite. I use this docking station for my Nintendo DS because it has some really brite blue LED's. And it keeps my DS full of power!

If your using somekind of chemical substance, I'd say leave that alone first. Then maybe get a dog, you'll feel more protected in your surroundings. But the main thing I'd say is to pray for security, with God all things are possible, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper....prayer really works, try it, you'll see....Good lucl to you.

I'd say this is more than paranoia...it's fear. You may consider moving to a safer neighbourhood, get a security system, super-barricade your home...I'd say you have anxiety more than paranoia...perhaps if you make your home safer you'll feel safer too. Otherwise talk it out with friends or family.

If you smoke dope, stop.
Take Xanax. If it gets worse, speak to a psych.
