It's just one of the many flaws. The writers of the bible probably didn't really think people would take it seriously enough to find them...

I agree even though I believe that Saturday is the Sabbath. There's several Sabbath keeping groups out there if you get on some of these Yahoo they'll even condem you for being part of a secular group! We can't shut down the hospitals phone services & what about those on life support surely they wouldn't want the electricty turned off & have to watch their loved ones die. Jesus said that it's good to do good on the Sabbath. Also it should be noted that more people are online on Saturday than any other day of the week.

It is easy, just follow the teachings of Jesus.

"Jesus answered, 'If any of you has a sheep, and it falls into a ditch on the Sabbath day, you will help it out of the ditch. Surely a human being is more important than a sheep. So it is lawful to do good things on the Sabbath day.'"

The whole Sabbath argument is very weak, since the original Sabbath is Saturday and not Sunday.

And as far as I am concerned, anyone should be free to work when and as long as s/he likes. No religion has the right to tell me what to do.

Essential services and doing good on the Sabbath are NOT prohibited. What Bible are you reading??

And yes, if you operate a taxi service and I want to attend church some diastance away (I do not have a car and my friends do not pass my way to church), I will pay for your taxi service. Do you have a problem with that?? If I do not avail myself of your service, will you close shop on this day and give me a free ride while you go to church with me?? Good. So much the better.

Work is work and it must be done.Theres no room for laziness in heaven.IF you are a doctor do you take a break on Sunday and some sick person needs your help would you turn them away.?
you must clean your house on Sunday too because cleanliness is next to godliness. If a hungry person wants to buy food should he starve until monday because your religion forbids the food-sellers to work on Sunday? No.The Christian says feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick.,pardon the offender, release the prisoners,,free the oppressed, preach the good news, rescue the dying, comfort the crying,Do it on Sunday too.And may God bless you all!!

Not working is not a absolute rule. The rule to love the others is the most important rule. So Christians help people who needs help.

9 of the 10 commandments are re-stated in the new testament.
The sabbath day is the only one that is not and Jesus himself broke the sabbath law.

Just so you know, the SEVENTH day is the 'sabbath', but nobody said it was officially 'Sunday' or any specific NAMED day of the week.
You work six days and take the seventh one OFF, no matter what day it is.
Organizations and churches want EVERYONE to go on the same day for their OWN reasons.
